WHO WE ARE

More than anything we want to be disciples of Jesus. We are deeply committed to becoming like Him. Do join us on this journey!

WELCOME TO ST MATTHEW & ST OSWALD'S

Thank you for visiting our website. We hope you are encouraged and inspired to find out more. Whether you are new to the area or just visiting you will find a warm welcome at St Matthew and St Oswald’s with Overslade. Please spend some time looking round the website to learn about some of what we do.

We’re a Church of England church on the west side of Rugby, serving the neighbourhoods of New Bilton and Overslade as well as the wider town.

While we are part of the Church of England, our members come from all backgrounds. Above all we are a group of people who have come to know God as our loving Father. We have experience what Jesus achieved for us when He died on the cross – namely the forgiveness of our sins and our adoption as God’s children. We have also discovered that God is present with us in the person of His Holy Spirit whom we see at work in our lives. Our purpose as Christians is to worship God and to serve Him in all we do.

We believe that God’s love for all of us is tremendous news and that He has told us to share it with others. If you want to know more about it we would be delighted to help – just get in touch!
