Creating an environment that is safe for all people, especially those who are young or vulnerable, is our key priority.
We have two safeguarding officers, who should be the first people you contact if you have any concerns or questions.
IF YOU HAVE CONCERNS
If you have concerns regarding a child, young person or vulnerable adult, in any situation (e.g. at home, work, school, church), please contact any member of the safeguarding team via email or phone. Or contact the diocesan safeguarding office on 02476 521 345.
If a child or adult is in immediate danger of significant or serious harm, please remove yourself from any danger, then immediately contact the emergency services by calling 999. More information can be found at the diocese’s safeguarding page.
Any disclosure will be treated sensitively, however we have an obligation to pass on information when it relates to a child or adult who may be at risk of significant harm from others or by their own actions or if a crime has been or may be committed.
